Yoga Class Description
The “Foundations of Yoga” Series is a progressive course designed to give you an excellent and complete understanding and application of YOGA, and how it can change your life from the inside out. Yoga is for ALL BODIES!
Contrary to popular myth, yoga is not only for skinny, well-dressed, super-flexible, relaxed people! It’s for YOU, whoever you are — regardless of age, weight, religion, political opinion, sexual orientation, tax bracket, or stature.
Yoga is a therapeutic and effective practice for countering the physical, mental, and emotional stresses of life! So you don’t need any skills (or outfits!) that you don’t already have.
Each class is a heartfelt offering that begins with a centering, breath-focused meditation, graduates to an active, soulful, well-rounded asana (physical poses) practice, and finishes with a deeply penetrating relaxation (sometimes yoga nidra) that will leave you feeling euphoric and nourished inside and out!
This course will give you the knowledge and experience to be able to practice yoga safely and confidently at home! Questions? <<
About Your Teacher
My name is Jessica Robinson. I have been teaching yoga since 1996. My yoga path began in college when I took my first class, and it felt as natural as breathing to me. Ever since then I’ve been studying, practicing, and sharing yoga wherever I’ve been (South Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, California, North Carolina, Oregon, and Wyoming). In 2001 I attended a 200-hr yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, and later that year studied with the founder of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Pattabhi Jois, himself. After that, some of the influential teachers in my life were Cyndi Lee, Sharon Gannon, David Life, Sianna Sherman, and I spent several years studying Anusara Yoga with John Friend. I’ve taught all ages — from kids to University to seniors to prenatal and postpartum.
I hope to share my love of yoga with you soon!

Yoga is SO helpful during pregnancy! Whether you are brand new to yoga, or a seasoned practitioner, yoga has amazing benefits for this special time of physical and emotional transformation! Yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body. Breath-work and meditation/visualization calm and focus the mind. All of this helps to relieve the discomforts of pregnancy, restore a sense of balance and confidence, and prepare Mama for the process of labor and birth.
Each Sacred Space Pregnant Mama Yoga class will have a theme that is thoughtfully appropriate for the journey of pregnancy into birth, incorporating breath-work, meditation, visualization, and postures that address specific prenatal concerns.
Jessica Graham Robinson is a compassionate, knowledgeable, well-respected yoga teacher, massage therapist, doula, natural parenting advocate, and Mama to two young boys. She has been teaching yoga around the country for the past 20 years and teaching pregnant women for 13. Jessica is passionate about helping and empowering other Mamas during their birth into Motherhood.

It is such a joy to engage in Jessica’s yoga class every week! My shoulders and hips are more relaxed and flexible since I’ve started learning yoga, and so is my back. I feel like I’m getting better at understanding what my body needs to do in order to be comfortable after a long day at the office. Jessica is a great teacher, and fun to take classes from – I’m looking forward to learning more with her!
